Jolt Racing Welcomes 2027 GT Cup Championship Calendar

Jolt Racing has welcomed the announcement of the provisional 2027 GT Cup Championship calendar, with six meetings and 20 races planned as the series celebrates its 20th anniversary.

The Hampshire-based McLaren team is planning to continue its GT Cup campaign in 2027, building on its experience. The #37 McLaren Artura GT4 is expected to return to the grid as part of an expanded racing programme for Jolt Racing.

The season will begin at Snetterton on 3–4 April, exactly 20 years after the Norfolk circuit hosted the first GT Cup race in 2007.

Silverstone follows on 8–9 May, moving to an earlier position in the calendar, before the championship visits the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit on 5–6 June.

The first of two Donington Park meetings takes place on 17–18 July, followed by a return to Snetterton on 4–5 September. The season concludes at Donington Park on 25–26 September.

Silverstone and the first Donington Park meeting will host the two GT Cup 100 events. Each will comprise a 50-minute race on Saturday followed by a 100-minute endurance contest on Sunday.

The remaining four meetings will retain the championship’s established format, with a 25-minute sprint and a 50-minute pit-stop race taking place on both Saturday and Sunday.

Jolt Racing Team Principal John Ingram said:

“GT Cup has played an important part in the development of Jolt Racing, and we are delighted to see such a strong calendar announced for the championship’s 20th anniversary season.

“The combination of sprint, pit-stop and longer endurance races provides a varied and demanding challenge for drivers and teams. Returning to circuits where we have already achieved podium results gives us a strong platform from which to build.

“We are working on an expanded programme for 2027, but GT Cup remains an important part of our plans. We look forward to sharing further details about our cars and driver line-ups in due course.”

Jolt Racing returned to GT Cup for a full-season campaign in 2026, competing in the GTH class with its McLaren Artura GT4. The programme has delivered a series of podium finishes and provided a strong foundation for the team’s future development.
