The British GT Championship is the UK’s premier GT racing series. For more than three decades, it has brought leading manufacturers, established teams and accomplished drivers together in GT3 and GT4 competition.
Its calendar combines sprint races with multi-hour endurance events. Driver changes, pit strategy and the challenge of managing traffic make for a demanding test for both drivers and teams. Strong results depend on pace, consistency and precise execution throughout the races.
Coverage and audience
British GT has a substantial audience at the circuit and across its broadcast channels. Silverstone’s British GT weekend attracts around 12,000 spectators, while all 3,000 public tickets for the championship’s 2026 media day were taken.
Every race is streamed live through SRO’s GT World channels, with selected events also broadcast on Sky Sports F1. The GT World stream of the 2026 Silverstone 500 race has recorded more than 400,000 views, and the championship’s official social channels generated over 58 million impressions in 2024.
