Double Donington Podium as Mikey Broadhurst Joins Jolt Racing

Jolt Racing celebrated a double podium on its return to Donington Park on 27–28 June, with Mikey Broadhurst reaching the podium on his debut with the team before John Ingram secured an impressive second-place finish in Sunday’s final sprint race.

Rupert Williams began Saturday’s racing in the #37 McLaren Artura GT4, contesting the opening 25-minute sprint race. It was a difficult start to the weekend, with Williams finishing sixth in the fiercely competitive GTH class.

Mikey Broadhurst then joined Williams for Saturday afternoon’s 50-minute pit-stop race. Settling quickly into the McLaren and working closely with the Jolt Racing crew, Broadhurst delivered an accomplished performance on his first competitive appearance with the team.

Together, Williams and Broadhurst produced a mega result in the longer race. Supported by a well-executed driver change and pit stop, the pair brought the #37 McLaren home third in GTH, giving Broadhurst a podium on his Jolt Racing debut.

John Ingram returned to the driver line-up alongside Williams for Sunday’s racing. The pair began the day with fourth in GTH in the 50-minute pit-stop contest, remaining in contention throughout another closely matched class battle.

Ingram then took sole control of the McLaren for the weekend’s final 25-minute sprint race and delivered one of Jolt Racing’s strongest performances of the season.

Starting from 17th overall, John produced an excellent recovery drive through the field, gaining nine positions to finish eighth overall and second in GTH. He crossed the line just 0.838 seconds behind the GTH winner, securing Jolt Racing’s second podium of the weekend in emphatic style.

The result completed an extremely positive meeting for Jolt Racing. Broadhurst and Williams claimed third in Saturday’s pit-stop race, before Ingram added a superb second-place finish in Sunday’s sprint.

With podium performances from both Broadhurst and Ingram, and all three drivers contributing across the weekend, Jolt Racing left Donington Park with renewed momentum and further evidence of the McLaren Artura GT4’s potential ahead of the Silverstone 100.
