Jolt Racing Battles Through a Demanding Snetterton Weekend

Jolt Racing continued its 2026 GT Cup Championship campaign at Snetterton on 16–17 May, where John Ingram and Rupert Williams faced four fiercely contested races around the challenging 2.97-mile Norfolk circuit.

Following the endurance-focused opening round at Donington Park, Snetterton marked a return to the championship’s traditional format of two 25-minute sprint races and two 50-minute pit-stop races.

The #37 McLaren Artura GT4 entered the weekend facing an exceptionally competitive GTH field. With very little separating the class runners, qualifying underlined the intensity of the challenge ahead.

In Saturday’s opening sprint, Jolt Racing secured fourth in GTH after a closely fought race. The afternoon pit-stop contest proved more difficult, with the McLaren losing time during the race before recovering to reach the chequered flag and secure fifth in class.

The team regrouped overnight and returned determined to make progress on Sunday. Williams and Ingram continued to work closely with the engineering crew to refine the Artura and extract more performance from the car.

Sunday’s 50-minute pit-stop race again demonstrated the strength and depth of the GTH field. Jolt Racing battled throughout and finished fifth in class before completing the weekend with fourth in GTH in the final sprint race.

Although Snetterton did not deliver the podium results achieved at the opening round, it provided valuable championship mileage and further understanding of the McLaren Artura in both sprint and pit-stop conditions.

Four classified finishes ensured Jolt Racing continued accumulating important points, while the team’s determination and professionalism remained evident throughout a demanding weekend.

With further development work identified and another Donington Park meeting next on the calendar, the focus immediately turned towards converting the lessons learned at Snetterton into stronger results at the third event of the season.
