Jolt Racing expands to GT Cup with McLaren GT4

Jolt Racing has confirmed its expansion into the GT Cup for 2024. The team will field a McLaren 570S GT4 in the UK series, alongside it's European programme in the Ligier European Series.

John Ingram and Rupert Williams will drive together for the 2024 season in the highly competitive GTH class in the GT Cup championship.

The GT Cup is well-established part of the UK motorsport scene and continues to grow in stature and popularity. Founded in 2007 as a premium GT series, it has continuously proved to be a championship of choice. The GT Cup enjoys one of the widest varieties of GT race car grids in the United Kingdom, with entries including McLaren, Ferrari, Porsche, Aston Martin, Mercedes, and Lamborghini.

The 2024 GTH class line is looking to be as competitive as ever. GTH champions Morpheus Racing will return to the fray with a familiar line-up of last year's group runners-up Jon Currie and Phil Keen in their Mercedes, the latter a British GT stalwart of many years. Forsetti Motorsport have confirmed a second Aston Martin Vantage for this season in GTH, driven by Rianna O'Meara-Hunt and Jodie Sloss. The successful Paddock Motorsport squad are also back on the GT Cup grid after a strong GTH showing last year, with Jake Poole and Michael Orant taking control of their McLaren Artura. The SVG Motorsport squad will take to the field this season in a GTH Ginetta. Liona Theobald makes her much-anticipated debut, with some sturdy support from British GT and experienced Ginetta racer James Townsend. The kings of GTH are back for more as Morpheus Racing retain a two-car assault. Chris Hart and Stephen Walton partnering up again in car 69. The Morpheus Mercedes duo took the Group GTH crown last year after a mighty campaign, and will be looking to retain their title again in 2024.
